String Quartet, Trio or Duo?

Dwynwen Strings is a fresh collective founded by Ruth Elder - Violinist, and Nerys Clark - Cellist.
They have brought together Wales' finest string players to provide high quality live music for those special events and perfect moments.

String Quartet
The Classic String Quartet is the most popular choice for a wedding ceremony and drinks reception, as we have such a wide choice of repertoire to choose from, specially arranged by us, making us truly unique and eclectic. 
No matter what style of music you're into - we can play it!
Over the years our couples have requested music from Pachelbel's Cannon to the Red Dwarf Theme Tune, Taylor Swift, Game of Thrones and even music from Games such as Skyrim & Nintendo. We can also perform all the major Classical String Quartet Repertoire for lunchtime recitals or evening soirees.

String Quartet is the most versatile option,
giving you that hearty string sound that will carry you through your ceremony, and set the vibe at your drinks reception.

String Trio
String Trio will include Violin, Viola and Cello and can provide a similar selection of repertoire to the quartet for a slightly lower price.
 
String Duo
With our String Duo you will get a more intimate sound,
and have the option of having the duo perform to backing tracks or simply stand alone Violin & Cello repertoire.

Solo Violin / Solo Cello
Both Ruth and Nerys have years of experience performing as soloists, and have a wide range of tracks to accompany them, or can be accompanied by a live pianist, but are equally happy performing without accompaniment, stand alone. Whatever the atmosphere you want to create, whether it's something intimate and delicately expressive, to more of a party vibe, our solo sets have a wide range of options and songs for you to choose from.
